The short version
Your match history is private to your account by default. We do not sell it, and we do not show it to other users unless you explicitly choose to make something public in future.
You can export everything or delete your account, yourself, at any time.
What we store
Account: your email address, your display name, and a profile photo if you add one or sign in with Google.
Tennis data: the matches you log — date, opponent name and category, score, venue, surface, format, time of day, tournament and round — plus tournaments you create and any notes or photos you attach.
Technical: basic error reports and anonymous usage events (which pages are opened, whether a match was logged) so we can tell what is broken and what is used. These do not include the contents of your matches or notes.
Why we store it
To show you your own record and statistics — that is the entire product.
To keep the service working and secure.
To understand, in aggregate, whether GSM is useful enough to keep building.
Other people’s information
When you log a match you enter another person’s name. If you upload a match photo, it may show them too. That information is stored under your account and is visible only to you.
If you are named in someone else’s GSM record and want it removed, contact us and we will help.
Who else sees it
Our hosting and database providers process data on our behalf so the app can run. They do not get to use it for their own purposes.
We may disclose data if the law requires it.
We do not sell data to anyone, ever.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your matches, tournaments, opponents and photos are deleted with it.
Backups may hold a copy for a short period before being overwritten.
Your choices
Export everything as JSON from Settings.
Correct anything by editing it.
Delete your account, and everything in it, from Settings. This cannot be undone.
